Week two and we need your vote!

You have had two sneak peeks, plenty of reminders to go vote and now the time has come to let the fish out of the net; the crabs out of the water, the shells out of their hiding in the sand, and the starfish to show his true colors!

Here is the entry into the TGF Royal Battle.
with a wee click of a wee mouse you can see the shimmer all over Ian, the Merman.
The bg of Ian and the bottom of the easel is paper that I made using the shaving cream technique that I learned from a retired SU demonstrator years ago. Ian is paper pieced using all SU paper. His body is blush Blossom, his fin and tail are from Cool Carribean and Taken with Teal, his hair is layered using So Saffron as the base and Barely Banana for the top layers that are glued askew for a swimmingly messed up look. did you click on the photo to enlarge it? the bg starfish was cut with a CM cutting system using a pencil and scissors. (DDL had borrowed the cutting tools and a few templates for a bday invite.) Then, I used my Magic Matter to get a 1/8" border around the star and distressed the Brilliant Blue paper to get it to sort of curl up and around the starfish bg. The base started with a piece of the SC technique and I scored it three different times at 1/8" intervals to get the raised edges to hold the crabs, scalloped shell, lobster's claw up. the crabs and lobster are Sizzlit dies, the neon starfish, shell and swimming fish are SU stamps. Sand is SU paper and Itty Bitty backgrounds using CCaramel, BGray, SSand on River Rock and confetti cream papers. Sandy starfish behind Ian is the same CM system actually using the starfish and red cutter then sponged with Rangers TH distressed ink, Tea Dye, around the edges.
the sentiment, on the fish on the right says 'swimming by to say, Hi!, was an idea from one of my team members, Jessica. Jennie had a few too, but I think the majority of us decided on 'swimming...'
