I am lucky enough to have retired early. I am a stay at home grand mother, SAHGM, that has the opportunity to have the kids a couple of days a week when they are not in preschool. We have four children that have blessed us with 10, and one on the way, grand children. When we all get together, now, that makes 20 of us.
I have been crafting most of my life..started with sewing, and different sorts of yarn hobbies...crewel, needle point, crocheting, and knitting, and working my way up from scrap booking to the present card crafter/stamper. I collect and use stamps of all kinds. I started stamping with rubber, then the photopolymer/acrylic and now digitals. I try to incorporate all three in my cards. As the kids moved out of the house I sort of took over their rooms and now have all my crafts located in one bedroom. I do, also, have a closet devoted to beads and such for jewelry making and micro slides.
I joined a Design Team in March this year and it has really kept me busy. My blogging sisters of SBS29 keep me hopping to their blogs for comments. Don't we all love to read those comments. My blog started in October 2009 and my traffic is steadily increasing due in part to the sisters and DT. I enter most challenges to give me inspiration to make a card and when it turns into a win...whoo hooo. Love the surprises in the mail box every once in a while.
Yes, I am lucky. I feel like I have the best of both worlds and I thank God every day for this, my life!
