Hop on over to Julie's blog, Inky fingers, right now! Go see who won her blog candy! Scroll down til you see this picture. Then scroll back up and see who won! (Just kidding about the scrolling part.) The winning announcement is on the Feb. 11, 2010 post right under the colorful quilted teddy bear titled, 'Bear Hugs to All'.
Just look at all the stuff that she's giving away.  Here's the list. DROOL!! Wipe your chin, lick your lips, it's gonna drip into your keyboard.
50 sheets Bazzill textured card stock (8x11) (10 colors)
1 flip-book album kit (little girl)
20 clear envelopes (3x8 & 3x4)
2 clear check book covers
1 set unmounted rubber (5 stamps) (love, hearts, anniversary)
1 package adhesive sheets
1 sheet epoxy (31) stickers (island style)
10 bookmark sleeves
1 box hand-stamped watercolor cards
1 hand-made scrapbook in a box (classic autos - heritage style)
1 Prismacolor watercolor pencil - white (great for highlights)
4 Art Impressions stamps (shoe, sassy, flower, & Japanese symbol)
Mean while back at the creative desk of Cardology, Etc. I'm having camera issues and thinking of buying a new one. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my camera.
EXCEPT
I am running out of $ keeping the thing working with all the batteries. It takes 2 AA and I replace them every three days. I am only taking as many pics as you see on my blog. About one or two pics a day. I bought

this lithium battery and I get about a week out of them.  anybody experiencing the same thing? any ideas for a camera that won't leave me broke buying short term power? My camera was a gift two years ago from DH.
It's a Kodak easy Share C875. I know the zoom probably eats a lot of the power, but won't they all? any ideas, suggestions, help would be greatly appreciated. It's not just about the money, it's annoying having to change the batteries so frequently.
Thanks for coming by!

Firstly Joanne my sincerest thanks for the lovely comment you left on my blog. I am truly overwhelmed by the wonderful ladies out there who make a lie out of the theory that the human race is corrupted!

Secondly my husband bought me 2 sets of rechargable batteries for my camera and when one set runs out he just puts them on the battery charger. A much cheaper option than buying a new camera. Hope that helps.

Now I am just going to sit here with my cup of tea and enjoy looking through your blog.

I don't know about regular battery cameras. I have a Canon PowerShot SD1100IS that comes with a speical battery that is rechargeable. It works awesome...you know how many pictures I take. I take with with me to PA. I charge it before I go...and usually come back with 250 pics or so. And I usually don't have to recharge it. Sometimes I do if I forget to turn it off...but that is operater error...hehehe. Anyway, I do take a lot of pictures, at the girls school concerts, of the girls and all my crafts and fun stuff. I maybe have to charge it once a month. Hope this helps.

Wow - you won the candy !!! Won-derful. I'm sure you'll enjoy it (if you can find a place to fit it in your craftroom - lol!)

I have a reasonably cheap camera (for the UK) - but it has a rechargeable battery which lasts me a month ! And I take a lot of photos. I got this new camera for the same reason as you are considering getting rid of your old one - I was chewing batteries, every couple of days. So yes...its time to get a new one. lol

Joanne, thanks for the special email.. I wanted to let you know I have a great camera I bought just about last Aug. It uses 4 AA batteries and they last quite a long time.
At least 1 month... if not longer. As you can see from my blog I take pictures almost everyday. I take them out of the camera after every picture just so they will last that long. But even when I went on a trip I never had to change the batteries. It has a great zoom 15x. My camera I got on sale at Best Buy for $105.00 It is a Nikon Coolpix L100. It is soooo easy but it also has many functions and extra's that you will love. Hope this help a little and come by Big Mamma's anytime.

My camera runs on rechargable batteries. I've got 6 batteries so I always have one lot on the go and another lot ready to go in and get charged up.
