It's time for a Ho Down

Daisy Doodles Presents
FREDDY GOES WEST
 SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
You may call it a blog hop to showcase the new set that Jules created featuring Freddy and his pals in
FREDDY GOES WEST.
I call it a HO DOWN.
Now, our DT coordinator, Rhonda has a knack for looking up interesting facts on the web. This ho down she looked up female cowgirls/famous women of the West. She appointed me this:
Joanne - Nellie Cashman (1845-1925) - Known as "The Angel of Tombstone", Cashman wandered the frontier mining camps of the 1800s seeking gold, silver and a way to help others.***
If you just got here and haven't seen the Daisy Doodles Creative Challenge blog  that's where the beginning of the hop is, just one hop back! If you have arrived from the DDCC blog then you are ready to partake in the fun and perhaps even win a prize!
Each stop along the way will showcase a letter of the alphabet, posse up and save those letters (all 12), unscramble them to make two words and be sure to tell Jules at the store what you came up with to possibly win these 15 piece stamp set from the Daisy's Digi Doodles Store. Wouldn't you just love to make your favorite cowboy a card or gift tag or goodie bag using this Western theme? If you make a western themed card, plus one other item and join the challenge you can possibly win a GC, also! How bout them thar apples!!!
This Ho Down will end August 15th at 7 PM EST.
Here's my card and plus one. Enjoy the hop and more details at the end of this post.
All the images are from Freddy Goes West, and the papers I used are all from the Freddy Papers (except the black cs). There are thirty 12 x 12 papers in the set and if you buy the image set you can pick up the papers for 50% off.
This link will take you right to where you can see the papers and the entire 15 images from Freddy Goes West.
The walls of the mine are covered in gold! Who wouldn't want to be a sheriff in this Gold Mine town?
The stars are from gold vellum....could someone please turn down the lights!!!
Here are some bags that I made for the grandchildren. There are pics are on them so they know which bag
is theirs. More pics at the end after the details!!!!

Used a pair of jeans that I needed to cut off and make shorts, frayed them, added buttons and stars.
They will love them...now I need to make a few more for the rest of the posse.
For those of you ready to take off.... the next stop is the fabulous Tina B. aka Cattle Kate at

THE DETAILS
  • Save your letters..each DT member will have a letter in their post to collect
  • UnScramble them in to 2 words that relate to the Old West. "find the secret message to save the town from disaster."
  • Leave that Secret with Jules at the store at the end of the hop, you'll find the directions there
  • Be Sure to leave a comment on each stop of the hop, including the DDCC blog
  • You have two weekS to accomplish this feat
  • The last chance is Sunday August 15th at 7PM EST
  • The challenge is not mandatory but wouldn't you just love to win  a GC to Daisy's Digi Doodles Store? The challenge Starts today Aug 2nd and also runs til August 15th
Enjoy the hop and good luck to all!

Now for some more pics for those of you that may be interested. The flip card, distressed..you can find a tutorial here...Fresh and Fun. Beate has an awesome video tutorial for what she calls the Swing Card dated July 23, 2010
The back side of the flip/swing
The small stars were punched out and then I glued teeny tiny circle to all the points to make them look like the image of the star in the set.
