Here is one stop on the Operation Write Home hop/challenge. Any one can join in, each stop takes you back to OWH and the challenge which is birthday themed and some blog candy and lots of fun and plenty of creations to see. So you should be coming here from OWH and heading right back there!
Now for the card, mine is r/w/b for another challenge, but what better way to celebrate the birthday of our country!
This card was fun to make. It's a two part card because I had to use the celebrate that I tried a technique, resist embossing. the celebrate was way too big for the circle card- what was going on in my head would not work with the paper. Here's the MojoMonday sketch that was going on in my head-- the round one.
Then i was going to place the banner over the circle...mo, that just didn't fly with me. The banner was already made and the square card came into play. It's also a card for CTMH and I had no blue paper from there so - out came the blue ink pad, then the red and I like this striped home made bg paper. Plus, the banner fit and that's a big plus. Heart2Heart is a fab challenge blog for you CTMH crafters. Mary has great ideas and the rest of the team does absolutely gorgeous creations.
Here's the round card that slides in behind the banner.
And the two of them side by side.
The banner on the round card is blue painters tape that I put two pleats in and slid the stars right into. The stars aren't even glued in. They just sit where ever I put them.
Now, that should give anyone their fix of red, white, and blue this Independence Day!
Happy birthday, America!
Thanks for coming by!
