Tea Bag Party

Happy 2nd Birthday to The Waltzingmouse Stamp Company!!
Claire’s stamping business turns 2 on May 21st
and she wants to celebrate with a tea party. I’m calling it a Tea Bag party since she has requested that we use her Free Tea Bag baggie template (or the Tea cup template or the Piece of Cake template).  For complete details just head on over to Claire’s blog.  Claire is offering a really big, almost humongous gift to the random winner!
My tea bag baggie was made for Bill H.
He’s the only guy I know that drinks tea.
Bill just loves a good cup of hot tea.
I made the front a shaker and filled it with some loose tea leaves that I had from a fabulous tea dining room in Safety Harbor, Florida. The paper front is faux wood that I made from plain white paper with SU ink pads- Creamy Caramel, Close To Cocoa, and Early Espresso—the direct to paper/ink pad technique. Just start with the lightest color and work towards the darkest leaving some white cs showing with each application. I used recycled packaging to cut the clear Spellbinders labels 18 to keep my tea leaves in the shaker. There’s a pic showing the SU recycled foam from the rubber stamps to make the thickness of my shaker.
