Tea Bag Folding

Someone challenged me to make a tea bag fold card...new technique! NOT!! Tea bag folding has been around for years, but only for about 8-10 years in the card making world. I knew that I had a tea bag folding (TBF) book and went on the search. Found it! It's copyrighted 2000 and the title, "TeaBag Scrapbooking" by Hot Off The Press. The TBF artwork is by Leane de Graaf, if any one is interested. The book came with background sheets and squares for folding...lots of squares. The art of TBF origins can be found here. This story has the TBF starting in Holland and upon more searching of the internet I found the exact same story but it had originated with a Japanese woman! No matter where it started, it is fun, easy-once you get the hang of it, and looks great on a card! IMHO! I started with 1 1/2 inch squares from Daisy Doodles Tea Bag Pack Number 1. (all links to papers, elements, etc will be at the end)

When I printed out the pink page of flowers in Picasa 3 I chose 4x6 and checked 2 prints. I only needed one set. Each flower square turned out to be just a nanosecond shy of 1 1/2 inches...perfect. The design you see here, I only used a total of six squares for the pink and 3 squares of the green swirly paper. The green mat behind the design is also the green swirly paper from Daisy Doodles. The cupcake is in three layers, you should see it IRL!
Anyone want to see the inside?
Love the sentiment, 'The sweetest thing about this card....is the person holding it." It came from a set that I won back in February from Jen del Muro.

Joanne, This is sooooooo pretty. Good for you on the the teabag folding. I had to write you and tell you I received my package today in the mail. Your card was so elegantly beautiful and the book was superb! I loved them both and you put alot of work in them as I can tell. So Thank you! How neat it was that you are kinda close to me in FL. Well have a blessed rest of the week.
smiles...Tammy
