Verve, Toffee, Triple Play

What could Verve, toffee, and Triple Play have in common?
Grab a cup of tea or coffee and something for your sweet tooth.
You are going to need it!!!!
VERVE PROJECT PARADE
Verve is having a project parade for the winter release 2010.
The DT have all designed triple plays. You should see some of their creations!
I decided to have a play after finally coming up with a plan.
It all started with me not having a plan and reading and drooling over Mercy's creation and the fact that she said she had a hard time, too, coming up with something for the Triple Play.
About 7 minutes later it hit me...Make something simple for a treat to be held...then it hit me, again....make something to display my SIL's toffee candy. I called Bec and she gave me permission to use her candy...YUMMMMM....and the idea was born. 11 1/2 x 4 1/4 cardstock in Kraft and Wild Wasabi.
Die cut the fronts to view the candy using my brand new Verve die cuts and Glad Tidings stamp set.
Here they are...all three of them so I can enter the Triple Play.
I took a 'slew' of pics at my SIL's home after placing her candy in the clear candy envelopes.
Here's a pic of her huge slab of toffee before she breaks it into bite size pieces.
That slab of candy measures about 30" x 24". The tin box in front is MY pound!
Becky makes the best toffee in the whole wide world!
Here are some individual shots of the candy favors!
This is kraft paper from SU and the Craft White ink is also clear embossed on the snowflakes and the sentiment. the bird and leaves are from the SU punch. The tag and die cut window is from VERVE'S new die, the scalloped tag, that was first stamped with Glad Tidings.
The Purely Pomegranate tag at the top is the other VERVE die, Vintage Oval frame.
This candy holder is made from Wild Wasabi and Purely Pomegranate with the window die cut twice with the scalloped tag. the snowflakes are once again stamped and embossed just like the first one.
Had to dye the elastic band with the jingle bells in Purely Pomegranate about three separate times to get it the color I wanted and then it could have been a bit darker! Silver circles are in the center of the snowflakes.
While the above was not the best pic it certainly showed the kraft paper much better.
Becky had lots of lights in her kitchen and this one was taken with the lights off in the dining room.
The center cut was done using the Vintage frame twice to get a bigger opening to show off
that luscious candy. Glass beads were glued in the center of the snowflakes, two different sizes...big and tiny!!
I stamped the Wild Wasabi onto glossy paper from Club Scrap and cut them out, connected then with jump rings and the one on top got an extra cut out from the PP on the glossy paper. The sentiment
is from Glad tidings and once again I used the Verve die cut for that on glossy paper!!!

A close up or two......
Better run, there are only two days remaining for this challenge.
Thanks for coming by!
AND WISH ME LUCK!!!!!!!
