Heart and a Handbag

Silver, copper, and bronze are the colors I used today!

Daisy Doodles challenge # 29 this week is a sketch!

Simple and all you need to do is use a Daisy Doodles image

to enter the challenge using this sketch.

The handbag image is free for a limited time here at the store.

You do not have to buy anything to get it for free!!!!

Silver heart button that I had to cut the shank off, it was so big, 

is surrounded with silver shimmer ribbon and a piece of copper cord.

Copper paper that was a gift from my SIL, and I used bronze ink to stamp the handbag.

Added some silver touches, and IRL I can see the reflection of a quarter in the copper paper in the lower right hand corner...very cool!

No sentiment, but it is going to be a thank you note for a very special person!

It's now Sunday almost 1 PM. Birthday dinner to make for our DTR, her favorite German chocolate cake. Hoping to get DH to help me out. He is a great cook!!!
Just finished resizing Amy, and letting the home made glue dots 'dry'.
I have a favorite person expecting a baby soon so this just might fill that bill!

 Picnik is an effect/basic fix now available in Picasa3.

Clean and Simple

Here are a couple CAS cards that I have made the last couple of days.

Used Waltzingmouse's 'Afternoon Tea' for the one above. the cups are stamped in  Soft Suede and the steam and tea bag strings are Crumb Cake.

I swirled the  tea cup in Distress ink 'Broken China' to get a different look.

This card was for a challenge at SCS CAS107- create your own background.

I created the entire card in just one layer, which was my objective.

 

Special Day was a challenge over at SCS...I think my CAS is a bit different than SCS's description...but I like it. The sentiment and  image are SU's  Flexible Phrases and Send a Celebration.

I used an aquapainter to get some Positively Pink onto the petals of the flowers...it was a quick and easy way to do the coloring. This card measures 5 x 4 1/4".

Appliqued Tree

The new FREE image this week at Delightful Inspiration is the

I 'appliqued' my papers to the image after making a few clouds and then 

I used the spellbinders to cut it out, and spread some stickles about to liven it up a bit.

A big birthday

70 is a big number!

It deserves some sort of recognition, especially when you live that long!!!

My sister loves to gamble, the roulette wheel, Black Jack, she has even been known to pull the arm on a

slot machine...well, back when there was an arm to pull!!

For her birthday we threw her a surprise party and the theme....gambling.

I wish that I had taken my camera to get a picture of her cake.

let me call my niece and get one..it was an amazing feat of fondant, sugar, cream, chocolate and

GAMBLING paraphernalia.  

Jules at Daisy Doodles created  this set

and I used every single one of them to make this card for my sister, the gambler!

The chips are five ply and sponged for color!

It matched all the cards and chips that were spread all over the table tops.

My niece even had green felt on one of the tables and some really great centerpieces.

Buttons and the MOUSE

................the Waltzing MOUSE that is...............

 The challenge this month is to use buttons....as many or as few as you would like.

I decided,  once again, to make two cards for the button challenge.

The first one is "Birthday Wishes", a sentiment from the Teeny Trees stamp set.
This card just so happens to fit right into the challenge at  
Waltzingmouse Sketch challenge, too

The second card, has "Big Blooms" stamped in two different sizes with separate centers....
make that three different sizes with four different stamps.
AND BUTTONS!!!!!

The green leaves are from 'Teeny Trees' and so is the 'thank you'.
Keeping this short since I am thinking there will be many blogs to visit and a game to play!

There has been a date change for the BINGO game.

I thought I would let everyone know, that there's a date change for the sign up of the bingo. I haven't been well, so I wasn't able to organize the bingo for the time specified. I do apologize sincerely for the inconvenience, but I couldn't do much about about it. I've decided to extend the sign up date until the 25th of February After this date you will be sent your own unique numbers, and bingo ticket. and the date that the bingo will commence. Bee Mine

Finally, I got to the craft room!!!!!

There's been loads of stuff going on at my house the past two weeks, mostly illness.

DH, now known affectionately as the stubborn mule...was deathly ill and spent quite some time in Morton Plant Hospital. He is on the mend and at home, but doesn't quite understand the meaning of following doctor's orders.

My friends say that he is a typical male....and let's just say...OK!!!!!

first on the agenda is getting a card made for the design team that I am on and have neglected!

This is an image from Daisy Doodles set called 'Love Sentiments'.

Yellow glitter on the wings and had to make my own stripes!!!

It's very shimmery IRL.

Just had to make a Valentine without the usual reds and pinks!!!!

But then had to sneak in the red antennae!!!!
