TOOLS: 1/4" hole punch for small circles and ticketing the corners, trio flower punch, stylus to form flowers,

 ticket punch for the larger panels.

DT CALL-Let's Ink It Up!

   I have been thinking about joining a rubber/clear stamp design team and the time has come!

Let's Ink It Up has an offer on the table and Suzanne is going to pick eight of her favorites from a field of more than thirty applicants.

I just came across this blog two days ago and have been thinking about it since I really want to do an "ink up the stamp" and show it off!

 Here are my favorite three cards...that I could whip out of a chasm a very deep chasm of cards in a short time. 

I definitely wanted a varied mix of  style, stamps, and techniques, and here are the results.

Heartfelt wishes

Faith at Designed to Delight came up with this delightful creature for Christmas in July. I just got around to him in August. He is called 'Heartfelt Wishes' and for Double Delight it was a challenge to make your own embellishments so I made layers of hearts, glued them together and punched holes in two of them to make buttons. Then as if that wasn't enough challenges...I found a sketch over at Jen del Muro's SFYTT!!
Three birds, one stone or for those in the paper crafting arena...Bing.Bang.Boom!!!!!

The card base and scalloped circle as well as the DP is edged with a gold Krylon pen. That is a piece of ribbon in the back, wired ribbon with a gold edge. Just love it and it's been sitting in a Christmas box of ribbon just waiting to feel the love. HW is holding a five layered heart in his hands, another embellishment, but no holes. The inside of the card is lined with the matching green cs and the reverse side of the Dp with the snowmen. The card base is Purely Pomegranate and the rest of the papers are from the BOTD.

Happy Birthday, Ruthie

My Dear Aunt, my Dad's sister, will be 87 on August 9th. Happy Birthday!! Dear Aunt Ruth. Daddy called her Ruthie, so I sort of call her that now that he is no longer with us!!!! Ruthie lives in  a convent in Ohio and sure could use a ton of prayers for herself and the Sisters caring for her! Dad's older sister, Dorothy, is 96 and lives in the home where the Aunts that raised Dad and Dorothy spent their summers so many years ago in upstate NY. Daddy lived to be 93+ and I wonder if I will have their longevity!
On to the card...I followed the sketch challenge at Just Rite stamps.

You may call it a blog hop to showcase the new set that Jules created featuring Freddy and his pals in

I call it a HO DOWN.
Now, our DT coordinator, Rhonda has a knack for looking up interesting facts on the web. This ho down she looked up female cowgirls/famous women of the West. She appointed me this: 
Joanne - Nellie Cashman (1845-1925) - Known as "The Angel of Tombstone", Cashman wandered the frontier mining camps of the 1800s seeking gold, silver and a way to help others.***

If you just got here and haven't seen the Daisy Doodles Creative Challenge blog  that's where the beginning of the hop is, just one hop back! If you have arrived from the DDCC blog then you are ready to partake in the fun and perhaps even win a prize!

Here are some bags that I made for the grandchildren. There are pics are on them so they know which bag

is theirs. More pics at the end after the details!!!!

Used a pair of jeans that I needed to cut off and make shorts, frayed them, added buttons and stars.

They will love them...now I need to make a few more for the rest of the posse.

The small stars were punched out and then I glued teeny tiny circle to all the points to make them look like the image of the star in the set.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, JULIE AND VERVE FOR AN AMAZING THREE YEARS.

We’re celebrating with a hop, hop, hop! If you've already been hopping along, you arrived here from  MICHELLE'S blog. This is a picture frame for my Grandson-to-be. He is due the end of September and the first child of our only son, so that makes him very special.
The center is just for looks at this point. Once he is here, the parents can put in a picture of his adorable face or they can ask me to put his vital statistics in that space. The stamps sets that I used  are Dare to Be Different*** and You Rock.
The large stars were cut out using cs and chipboard with a sizzix die cut. 
The frame is covered with paper that was torn and then modge-podged on , that's why you see the reflection from the flash. Once dry I sponged on, wiped off Broken China.
I placed two Label 5s on the magnet sheet one inside the other and then ran it through my CB to get the frames. They come out double embossed this way! The white 'frames' were done the same way using the #1 and #2 dies.
The white rope, eyelet trim, and red ribbon are all pieces of scraps.
This will look great in the wee little one's nursery.

TIP: I used all home made glue dots to attach all elements to the frame...even the ribbons and trims. 
I use Alene's Tack it Over and Over...I bought it on line.
I have tried  making the glue dots before and the only success that I had was using the paper from previous glue dot rolls. Plus, this time I swirled the tip of the bottle around to make flat dots....they dry quicker and just work better, IMHO. I only make twenty at a time and then it's easy to lay them out to dry and store them. As soon as the sheet is empty I make more to keep the supply at hand.
