Masculine card for October

This card was so much fun to make. It took me right out of my element and into another realm. I have very few stamps that I think make for masculine cards. All these elements are from Stampin Up except for the little copper corner plate that I found in the bottom of an embellishment drawer. I need layers to make me happy, but I don't go too overboard until......well, you'll see that one tomorrow.
Meanwhile back at the ranch, the inside left me wanting for another bronco, but I settled for less this time. The medallion on the lower left is just a punched out circle of the paper you see on the front.
Again, I have revealed the message inside simply because I forgot to take the pics before I so hastily wrote on it.
The papers on the inside are the same as those on the front just flipped over. SU's dsp is just wonderful with two sides to every sheet and the pack co-ordinates so beautifully.

The card for Sunday is a before and after....just wait. Thanks for coming to see my creations. PS. I forgot to iron this----I'd rather be making cards.

October birthdays

Here's the card that I made for my DD's birthday. IRL you can see the quilting and embellishments on the top of the card.  I ran diagonal lines with Scor-pal then at every intersection I glued a 1/4 inch punch dot--got that idea from SCS. I just love the inside and you can see here that I already wrote her a message.
All the paper used was Stampin up-- Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive, Pink Passion, More Mustard. Ribbon was SU's More Mustard and I used Just Rite Stamper for her initial. I used a corner rounder on the old Olive. On the inside, the same colors were used and I also used SU stamps for the silhouette of the girl and sayings. SU punches for the flowers and leaves. DD loves Brighton and I thought the silver brad looked like something you might think of when you think of Brighton. My SIL's birthday was just before hers and I'll be showing you those pictures tomorrow, after I iron that sheet that I used for a backdrop. Thanks for coming by to check out my creations.

down time

Seems as soon as I get all excited about my blog, the computer decides to take a vacation! It's got the hiccups, actually, and I just might go buy a new one on Saturday. As I say to Lily, "Be patient."

I can open my emails, blog lurk, but as soon as I go to programs to  get some stuff done it starts blinking on and off. Black screen, regular screen, black screen, regular screen...you get the picture.

Then I decided to go transfer some funds into my checking acct via my computer and it doubled the amount that I wished to transfer. In the blink of an eye I have enough money in my checking to go buy a new computer!!!! That must be providence giving me a sign to go buy!!

Later.

It's my world and welcome to it!

Hello World is from Tee, my blog designer! I wouldn't be here right now without her. Though we are half a state away she has been by my side every step of the way. Really, more like I have watched her do magic in Cardology Etc. I am technically challenged in the IT world, but give me paper and some adhesive, maybe a stamp and ink, embellishments, and a cutting tool and I can make a card and more! Stay connected in the next few days while Tee teaches me to photograph/scan my work/cards/etc., download , upload, etc and I can only hope you will like what you see and come back to Cardology Etc for more.

Hello World

This is Joanne's new blog!  She's so excited to be joining the blogging community!

Just to give you a taste of things to come, here's a card she sent to me.

Isn't it the coolest?  Ok ok ok... so that's not all.  I opened this card up and it got even better!  Check this out!

Whoa!  Yeah!  Sweet!  The black CS is a pocket that could hold a gift card or something.. but look at this detail.  Textured card stock, two nestabilities, ribbons, eyelets, ticket corner punches, another wild die cut border, embossing and needle piercing.  And that is on the INSIDE of the card.  Whew.  Watch out world for this lady cause Joanne blows me away!
